PLENARY SPEAKERS Dr. Jasmine Begum is the Director of Legal, Corporate & Government Affairs for ASEAN and New Markets. Based in Kuala Lumpur, she has held this role since 2010, where she oversees corporate affairs, government relations and policy engagement as well as philanthropies for Microsoft businesses in the ASEAN region. She joined Microsoft with over 20 years of award-winning experience that uniquely straddles both legal/policy engagement and communications, that included leadership and regional stints at companies such as Dell Malaysia, the United Nations Development Program, the United Nations Executive Office of the Secretary-General in New York as well as having been a corporate litigator. She has broad educational qualifications, having completed a double degree in law at the International Islamic University in Kuala Lumpur. She then pursued post-graduate studies in both Law and Communications in the UK and earned her Ph.D. in business and human rights. Dr. Jasmine Begum Regional Director of Legal, Corporate & Government Affairs, Microsoft ASEAN and New Markets Prof. Dr. Erry Yulian Triblas Adesta Vice-Rector, Planning, Development and Cooperation, Universitas Indo Global Mandiri Professor Erry is a corporate member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (MIMechE), UK, and a chartered professional member of the Engineering Council (CEng), UK. Prof Erry completed his Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Mechanical and Production Engineering from the then Polytechnic of Huddersfield, UK, under the sponsorship of the Polytechnic Education Development Centre (PEDC- ITB), and a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of Birmingham, UK, under a scholarship from the then Foreign and Commonwealth Office Scholarship (now Chevening Awards). He earned his PhD in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Huddersfield in 2002 under a scholarship from the DIKTI - 2nd Slice World Bank Project. He is an Adjunct Professor at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). 7
