iNASA Programme Book

The International University Administrators Seminar, abbreviated as iNASA, is organised by the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in partnership with Majlis Persatuan Pentadbir Universiti Awam (MASTI) and the Professional & Management Association (PMA), IIUM. The theme of the seminar is “Empowering Administrators for Climate Change Mitigation in HEIs: An Integrated Approach Through Digital Innovation and Community Engagement.” The seminar aims to highlight the essential role of support service administrators in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), particularly in public sectors with insights applicable to private institutions, in addressing the multifaceted challenges posed by climate change. By leveraging digital innovation and fostering robust community engagement, these administrators can lead effective strategies for climate change mitigation and adaptation, enhancing the sustainability of campus operations and the broader community. Support services within HEIs are key to implementing the infrastructural, operational, and cultural shifts necessary to respond to climate change. As centers of education, research, and community leadership, HEIs have a unique responsibility and capacity to drive significant environmental change. This theme calls for a comprehensive approach, integrating digital technologies and community collaboration to reduce carbon footprints, enhance resilience, and promote environmental stewardship across the HEI sector.
