Popular ISEs include Google, Bing, Baidu, and Yahoo! Researchers, authors and publishers may obtain some insights into the themes of their proposed original works and translations by collecting and analyzing the search results generated by the ISEs. This study is aimed to identify search results produced by only Google, the most popular ISE by comparing the statistics on the broad themes suggested by the organizers of SEMINAR PENTERJEMAHAN KEBANGSAAN 2021, and more specific sub-themes such as “Translation in Malay,” “Translation in Bahasa Melayu,” and “Translation in Bahasa Malaysia”; besides, comparing the acquired data with the most specific sub-subthemes, such as “Translation and culture in Bahasa Malaysia,” and “Translation and ethics in Bahasa Malaysia.” The raw results will be converted into simplified indices to enable standardized comparisons. Consequently, the study will provide ranking of priorities according to the indices of the generic and most specific sub-subthemes. Such data-driven ranking or indicators would be invaluable to authors, researachers, and the publishers in the formulation of the translation policies and priorities.  KEYWORDS Bahasa Malaysia, indices, internet search engine, Malay, priority, ranking, translation
